Time Capsule & Legacy Kit Participation

The TCL Time Capsule Kits will function as the physical manifestation of our shared voices and visions, declaring together our common desire and commitment to bring about positive world change. While this is the primary and suggested THEME OF PARTICPATION, we welcome any contribution or other desired use you may feel appropriate to deposit in the actual time capsule(s). Any concept or contribution valued by you, is considered appropriate. The Legacy Kits may be customized to suit your personal desire and creativity.

Preserving your personal memories or that of your family and existence here on Earth, i.e., being remembered, is very appropriate to the purpose of any time capsule. Thus, do not let the theme of the project hinder your willingness or desire to participate. All participation is welcome and you may put what ever media you want into your online account, legacy kit, or purchased private capsule space.

No idea is too big or too small. All we ask is that your ideas be expressed in a thoughtful and creative manner, which can be shared and preserved through the P.E.A.C.E. Project’s time capsules and memorial. Creative expression can be achieved through art, essays, music or photographs and more. The collection of these contributions is easily guided and made possible via your FREE Online Account.

How to Participate in the Time Capsule . . .

Getting started is simple. First, you must to create your FREE Online Account, even if you choose to start with the upgraded participation package .

Once you have created your FREE online account, you will then continue with an easy step-by-step process specifically designed to capture your input in the building of your personal capsule file and the various parts, pieces and elements of the Legacy Kit.

You will be asked to answer some questions about yourself. For administrative purposes we also ask about your intended level of participation and your "vote" for the theme of the Time Capsule Memorial. Don't worry, your personal information is kept 100% private and secure. See Privacy Statement.

After you have started your FREE account, you may upload your media contents to be placed on your Legacy Kit’s CD or DVD. For example, you can upload a plan for sustainable living in MS Word format, or an MP3 file of your favorite songs or personal compositions, created slide show presentations, movies and more. Perhaps you prefer to upload a JPG copy of artwork or a painting you created. Upload as many files as you like, so long as they fit on the CD or DVD storage device we provide with the kits. All we ask is that your ideas are expressed in a thoughtful and creative manner that future generations can relate to and enjoy.

FREE Participation: FREE Participation is limited to include only two (2 of up to 10 possible) Legacy Kit profile cards and 700MB of upload storage space for the Kit’s CD-ROM. All participants are issued an Official Deposit Certificate for kit claiming purposes in 2062. (Further information is available through your online account.) Participants may upgrade their membership at any time. Anyone can participate for free, and all submissions will be included in the memorial. But due to the global scope of the 2012 World P.E.A.C.E. Project, we are unable to provide participants with FREE hard copies of their Legacy Kits, or allow additional DVD Space (4.7GB) and other participation features, unless you wish to upgrade your participation from a FREE status to a BASIC or PREMIUM participation status. If you wish to upgrade your participation at any time, visit the Upgrades & Donations link. But remember that you must first activate your FREE Account. Please allow up to 48 hours for the additional upgrade features to be activated in your online account. You can start Capsule Kits immediately with the FREE account.

BASIC Participation Upgrades. Start at only $30, plus shipping: Upgrade options include extra default & custom design features, choices of up to (8) eight 5" x 7 " additional creative profile cards, up to (6) six 4" x 6" glossly, personalized photos, a 4.7GB DVD storage device and a complete physical hard-copy of the finished Legacy Kits with Upgrades that will be stored in the actual time capsule memorial. All uploaded content for the profile cards, personalized photos, DVD Labels, file envelopes, certificates, etc., upon your final submission, are then off-loaded from your online account, exactly as provided. Then, the actual physical kits are prepared, professionally printed and finished by the Foundation staff. The creative production and printing QUALITY of the finished kits is of the highest industry standards available. The production processes used includes recycled papers and 100% enviromentally friendly, waterless, state-of-the-art, DI printing technologies.

PREMIUM Participation Upgrades include: a complete BASIC UPGRADED Participation Package with additional physical time capsule depository space, which is available in a wide variety of suitable sizes for the appropriate storage of common items, such as; media devices, books, documents, posters, photo albums, etc. The spaces are sold as file/lot receptacles for a number of appropriate storage applications. Pricing varies. Participants are responsible for shippment of the content they wish to store in their private receptacle space. See Premium Space Upgrades for details.

Project Donations: We also accept and appreciate all donations. While a small percentage of donations may be used for administration cost, most of the funds collected as donations are primarily used for the purpose of enhancing the capsule memorial and monument, its construction and 50 years of site care, maintenance and preservation.

The Foundation hopes for every participant to help in funding the project by donating, upgrading or purchasing private space. However, we care more about your participation, even if your finances restrict you to FREE Participation only. The greater the numbers of participants, the more meaningful and purposeful the project becomes, and the more likely we will be able to achieve the primary goals and objectives of the 2012 World P.E.A.C.E. Project.

Final Important Note: So that there are no over or understated expectations of what your online account serves to accomplish … it is a well organized, interactive “collection portal” only. While we do provide resources and links to freeware and shareware to aid you in the building of your CD or DVD, ultimately, you are responsible for the actual DIGITAL content development.
